LEARN MORE!

How it works

FIRST, we craft.

These speakers learned a fresh approach to creating a signature, 10-minute talk, with guidance, feedback, and the opportunity to generate, develop, and shape it.

Then, we deliver.

During the speaker showcase, they will present their ideas and insights in less than 10 minutes.

Why 10 minutes?

Because it’s the sweet spot for building a talk. If you can’t make your point in 10, you will struggle to do it in 20. The 10-minute window allows enough time for you to articulate your thought and argument, but not so much time that you can wander off. It encourages you to be economical in how you think through and organize your ideas. Plus, once you have the base of a 10-minute talk, you can dial it back to do a shorter version, or build on and expand it into a longer talk when you need to.

She was in the uncomfortable, perhaps uncharted, position of having to ask for help. In this talk, she will talk about the grace she found in being humble. Debra speaks about how lowering the mask of invincibility exposed the healing power of community. You will learn simple, meaningful ways to both offer and receive help.

And you can embrace it without changing who you are. Discover how to open the door to what you’ve been missing out on with a new perspective on social skills, and begin to be visible on your terms.

Purpose First: Why Most Financial Plans are Created Backward

Using a traditional planning process focused on goals often leaves people with a lifeless and unrealized financial plan. These plans are created backward trying to achieve goals before pursuing purpose. Creating a plan then trying to add meaning later doesn’t work. Without purpose many people fail to even start planning. As a Financial Coach with more than twenty years of experience, Greg Hammond shares his insights on how reversing the process with purpose first changes everything. Purposeful planning makes decision making easier, motivates you to act, and provides a clearer path to a more meaningful life.

What 50 Cups of (Decaf) Coffee Taught Me About Entrepreneurship

Fast forward to four years later, Julie’s now a thriving marketing strategist. She will show you how to think outside the box and reinvent your personal brand for more opportunities. Plus, learn which surprising things you don’t actually need to succeed—no matter your background or age.

Enjoy the journey? Why this advice falls short when it comes to building a business and realizing your dreams

Entrepreneurs must wear many hats—not only must they perfect their craft, but also become an expert in marketing, PR, and finance. There's a lot of ground to cover, and much of it can feel like an uphill battle. To make matters worse, the best advice we're given is to “enjoy the journey," as if that is magically going to provide answers. Perfumer and entrepreneur Helida Dodd takes this advice to task and shows how it can make the road feel that much harder—and leave us feeling inadequate. Most importantly, she brings some much-needed light to what "journey" means, and how to get through it without abandoning your dreams altogether.

About Helida
Helida Dodd is a Perfumer for lovers of beautiful fragrances who can’t tolerate traditional perfumes. Through her carefully curated ingredients, she shows you how luxury + nature mix perfectly in a bottle. She’s a former Industrial Engineer who spent many years in healthcare, logistics & supply chain management. Now she uses her engineering and chemistry background to create intricate perfumes. When she’s not concocting her exquisite formulas, you can find her spending time with her husband and two teenagers, volunteering at school, biking, doing yoga, or daydreaming about traveling.

The Consequences of Putting Our Dreams Aside

Jennessa Durrani moved 1,500 miles away from her tiny Iowa hometown to pursue her childhood dream of being an interior designer. Not long into that career, she realized it wasn't at all what she'd hoped for, and left. She also dreamed of being a mother, and was thrilled to have two boys. But as any parent knows, the work of parenting replaces the dream you have of it. What Jennessa realized was that while she was grateful for what she had, a life without a dream was empty indeed. Part of the problem, she says, is we think dreams are for kids, and plans are for adults. But it isn't true. In this talk, Jennessa challenges the notion that we outgrow dreams, and why it's critical to keep them alive.

About Jennessa
Jennessa Durrani is an empowerment coach, artist, wife and mom to two teen boys. She helps women in middle life find their meaning outside of motherhood and the energy to pursue it. She hosts an online community for women called A Daily Practice and a weekly podcast called Dream Big and Implement Small. Both focus on creating daily practices for big impact to move women forward in their lives one small step at a time. It’s through this methodology that she has successfully built her business with children under foot and lost 160 pounds. Jennessa has been published in The Boston Business Journal, More, Women’s Business, The Andovers, and Daily Origin.
